Because I had no access to real weapons, I used images from the internet. I decided which weapons to make based upon my personal experience with weaponry, which comes entirely from pop culture sources like movies and video games.
The weapons were constructed on an individualbasis, using pattern pieces to gauge angle and shape. The main pattern pieces were made on a computer by tracing the images of real weapons. A mixture of machine and hand stitching were used to put the weapons together. Any furtherdetailingwas added by hand using measurements from the original photos.
